BECOMING A GDFRA REFEREE
To referee with GDFRA you must be turning 13 years of age or older. If you are over 18, you will also need to obtain a paid Working With Children Check (click the following link).
Working With Children Check
Apart from completing a Laws of the Game Course and other precrtical referee training you will need to purchase referee uniforms, and equipment (whistle, flags, cards, and notebook), as well as registration fees, including those paid to FNSW and Football Australia.
As refereeing is considered a hobby, your match payments are non-taxable, so you will need to complete and submit a Statement of Supplier Form (click the following link).

By completing a referee course, you will be eligible to register as a referee with the Granville District Football Referees Association and officiate full-field matches from Under 12s to All Age.
The introductory referee course includes:
- Online Laws of the Game Course
- Online Football Match Official Course
- Face to Face Classroom Recap & Practical Session
