MAPLETREE-TENG SCHOLARSHIP 2026

SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION CHECKLIST

Before filling in the form, here is a checklist of required documents for this application.
1. A copy of Applicant's Identity Card (front and back) or Birth Certificate document
2. Copies of music grading certificates / awards (if any)
3. A video recording of your instrumental performance not exceeding 5 minutes. You may submit the video as a video file, or share a link to the video
4. A writeup (not exceeding 500 words of the following):
  - Tell us more about yourself including your achievements and experiences in music
  - Your musical goals and aspirations
  - How this scholarship will help you in the development of your music learning
5. At least 1 Letter of Recommendation from either a Teacher or an Instructor
6. Photocopies of scholarships / grants / financial aid awarded (if any)
7. Identity Documents of all family members living in the same household
8. Proof of Income of all working family members living in the same household
Eligibility:
1. Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR)
2. Between ages 7 to 21 as of 31 December 2026
3. Plays a Chinese instrument or an instrument found in Chinese Orchestras. Applicants who play the Cello, Double Bass, and other Western Percussion must have been a member of a Chinese ensemble/orchestra for at least one year
4. Per Capita Income (PCI) of S$2,500.00 or lower. This can be calculated by taking the total gross household monthly income, divided by the total number of family members living together

Late or incomplete submissions will not be considered.

Shortlisted applicants will be notified via email by 4 March 2026.

Shortlisted applicants will need to attend an interview and audition on 7 March 2026.

Successful applicants of the scholarship will be notified by 9 March 2026.

The scholarship programme will commence on 1 April 2026.
