National Youth Championships Qualifier - see https://ejcoa.co.uk/
Age groups - U8, U10, U12. Age is set at 1st Jan 2026. Groups may be combined depending on final numbers.
Games - 5 rounds in total, each round is 25 minutes on the clock per player. Games are swiss rapidplay and ECF rated.
Timing - 10am to 2pm (approx) on Sunday 22nd March 2026. Pls arrive by 9.30am for registration and a prompt start at 10am.
Venue - Hanworth Community Centre, Hanworth Road, Bracknell, Berks RG12 7WX.
Parking - free parking in the school grounds. There is a Co-op store opposite the school for snacks etc.
Qualification - each age group shall have a top boy and top girl qualifier. If a player ties on points for qualification, then all players in the tie-break will qualify for the final. The final will be a FIDE-rated event and is usually held in Nottingham in July.
Prizes - Medals will be presented to all entrants and the overall winner in each age group receives the coveted BCC trophy.
Cost is £7 per entry.
