  • Community Expression of Interest

Wide Bay Kids is inviting community organisations, schools, neighbourhood groups, sporting clubs and local community leaders to submit an Expression of Interest to host a Help Happens Here Community Pantry, become a Community Food Champion, or take part in a free community cooking class. A Help Happens Here Community Pantry is a small, open-access food shelf located in a trusted community space. People can take what they need, when they need it with no forms, no appointments and no questions asked. Pantries provide practical, dignified support for individuals and families experiencing short-term pressure or ongoing food insecurity. Community Food Champions and shared cooking classes help strengthen connection, skills and confidence around food, supporting longer-term wellbeing alongside immediate relief.
