    INTRODUCTION
These Terms & Conditions apply to participation in the Winter Work Canada Program (the Program), offered by the American Institute for Foreign Study (Australia) Pty Ltd (AIFS) ABN 58 087 638 499, in partnership with INTERNeX Canada.

The Program is designed for individuals aged 19–35 who are eligible for a Canadian Working Holiday Visa and who seek seasonal employment in hotels, resorts, restaurants, and tourism-related businesses across Canada.

By submitting an application, the participant (“I”, “the Participant”) acknowledges and agrees to be legally bound by these Terms & Conditions.

    1. PROGRAM OVERVIEW
1.1 The Program provides assistance with securing seasonal employment in Canada, primarily within winter tourism communities in Alberta and British Columbia, with additional placements possible in Ontario and Ottawa.

1.2 Employment roles may include, but are not limited to: guest services, retail, food and beverage, kitchen, housekeeping, cleaning, laundry, mountain operations, snow operations, instructing, and tourism activities.

1.3 Job offers are based on prior experience, English language proficiency, attitude, flexibility, and employer demand. No specific role or location is guaranteed.

    2. SEASON LENGTH, HOURS & COMMITMENT
2.1 The winter season generally runs from November or December through April or May, depending on the employer.

2.2 Resorts typically require commitment for the entire season. Hotels may require a minimum commitment of six (6) months.

2.3 Participants are classified as seasonal full-time employees. Hours are not guaranteed and generally range from 20–40 hours per week, averaging approximately 32–35 hours across a season.

2.4 Participants must be available to work weekends, evenings, public holidays, and peak business periods.

    3. EMPLOYMENT RELATIONSHIP
3.1 The employment contract is between the Participant and the Canadian employer. AIFS and INTERNeX are not the employer.

3.2 Employers may terminate employment if performance expectations are not met.

3.3 In the event of termination, Program participation may also end. INTERNeX may provide limited job-search support at its discretion.

    4. ACCOMMODATION
4.1 AIFS/INTERNeX will assist Participants in identifying staff or private accommodation near the workplace. Accommodation is often shared.

    4.2 Typical accommodation costs (CAD): - Shared room: $650–$850 per person/month - Private room: $850–$1200 per person/month

4.3 A damage deposit of up to one month’s rent may be required and is refundable subject to conditions.

    5. COSTS & LIVING EXPENSES
5.1 Participants are responsible for all personal expenses including visas, flights, travel to the resort, accommodation, food, uniforms, equipment, and daily living costs.

5.2 Tipping of approximately 15% is customary in restaurants and bars.

    6. VISAS & INSURANCE
6.1 Participants must independently obtain a valid Canadian Working Holiday Visa.

6.2 Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for the full duration of stay. Visa validity is determined by insurance coverage and cannot be extended after arrival.

    7. CONDUCT & GROOMING
7.1 Participants must comply with employer grooming and conduct standards, including neat appearance, limited jewellery, removal of facial piercings at work, and appropriate hygiene.

7.2 Winter temperatures may range from 5°C to -30°C. Appropriate clothing is the Participant’s responsibility.

    8. TIME OFF & HOLIDAYS

11.2 Information may be disclosed where legally required.

    12. INDEMNITY & LIABILITY
12.1 The Participant indemnifies AIFS and INTERNeX against all claims arising from participation in the Program.

12.2 AIFS may take reasonable action concerning Participant health and safety. Medical and transport costs not covered by insurance are the Participant’s responsibility.

    13. FORCE MAJEURE
13.1 AIFS is not liable for cancellations or disruptions caused by events beyond its control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government action, or travel disruptions.

    14. GOVERNING PRINCIPLES
