  • 'Creativity & Drama Workshops' for Women

Builds your confidence; Improves your Mental Health
  • We would like to introduce our FREE community ‘women only (18+)’ programme based at and funded by Chorley Theatre. The group is held on  Wednesday afternoons at either 1.15pm to 2.45pm or 3pm to 4.30pm. The sessions consist of a series of activities, drama games and is designed to get the creative juices flowing to help you to express yourself. So, who is this suitable for? Women who for whatever reason are struggling with their mental health, from being the victims of abuse to those suffering with anxiety problems. The groups are run by Mark Jones who is co-owner of evolve and is also Head of Chorley Theatre. Mark is supported by Sarah Gregory, a volunteer who has vast experience and background in supporting vulnerable women.

The benefits of the group are:-

    ·         Gain confidence

    ·         Work together, encouraging and supporting each other

    ·         It provides a safe space for busy minds to be diverted onto creative areas

    ·         Most of all, we have fun

The women who attend report back many benefits, with the most frequent being the effect it has on their overall confidence which they carry into the outside world with them. See feedback below…. to book on to this FREE programme, complete the form below….

  • Just some of the feedback we have received:-

“I attended the group via a recommendation from a friend, who told me how much her confidence had grown, since attending. I decided to give it a try. My nerves were in tatters, that day not knowing what to expect. Throughout the session, I thought, I can't do this at all, I'm not confident enough and felt I wasn't good enough. But I stayed and I attend every week now. All the ladies were truly supportive and kind. The most important thing is our confidence grows and we have an amazing laugh. Thank you massively to Mark and Sarah”

"When I first joined the group, I was struggling with a lot of anxiety and had lost much of the confidence I once had. After becoming a mum, I spent so much time focusing on everyone else's needs that somewhere along the way I lost touch with parts of myself. This group has helped me reconnect with who I am. There aren't many places in life where you can show up and be exactly who you are".

"The confidence I've gained hasn't come from standing on a stage, although taking part in our radio play has certainly helped. It has come from being accepted, encouraged, and supported by a group of incredible women. Every week I've been reminded that my voice matters and that it's okay to take up space".

"The women I've met through this group have been an absolute delight. Their honesty, humour, creativity, and willingness to be vulnerable have created something really special. I've laughed, learned, grown, and found friendships and support when I needed them most. This group has given me far more than drama skills. It has helped me rebuild my confidence, rediscover myself, and remember that I am more than just the roles I fill for other people. For that, I will always be grateful, particularly to Mark and Sarah”.
