    Winter Sowing

  • Saturday, January 10th

    9:00am-10:00am

Join us at the Nature Center for a hands-on Winter Sowing class where you’ll learn how to jump-start your garden using a simple, sustainable technique: planting seeds in recycled plastic milk jugs. These mini “greenhouses” allow seeds to germinate outdoors during the winter, producing stronger, hardier plants ready for spring.

Participants will create their own winter sowing containers, learn which native plants and vegetables thrive with this method, and
discover why winter sowing is one of the easiest, most low-maintenance ways to grow from seed. No greenhouse needed—just a milk jug, soil, seeds, and mother nature!

A perfect winter activity for gardeners of all levels. Come grow with us!
