If you don't have Microsoft Excel, click 'File' and 'Make a copy' on the Google Sheets template. Complete your club roster in Google Sheets and then Select 'Download' and choose 'Microsoft Excel (.xslx)'. Upload the file above.
How do I answer the question 'Will this member be the Voting Representative'?
This section is about the California Democratic Party (CDP)'s Pre-Endorsement process (learn more here). We have clubs submit their rosters in this format to help you later when CDP asks for your roster for Pre-Endorsement. Chartered Club Organizations (CCO) get 1 vote per 20 eligible club members. Eligibility is verified by CDP.
We recommend estimating how many votes your club gets by taking your total membership number and dividing by 20. When you have your estimate, please select your designated "Pre-Endorsement Voters." Then enter 'Yes' in this column on the same row(s) as their name(s). Please keep in mind that this may be subject to change pending voter eligibility verification by the CDP.
Why do I need to provide the registered address and birth dates of our members?
This is also related to the CDP Pre-Endorsement Process (learn more here). CDP needs this information to verify your membership for allocation of Pre-Endorsement votes. For example, if you submit a club member who is not a Democrat or has re-registered to vote outside of our Assembly District, they do not qualify for your total allocation of Pre-Endorsement votes.
How do I answer the question 'Is this member the official DCC representative of the club'?
Each club gets one Santa Barbara County Democratic Central Committee (DCC) representative who represents and votes on behalf of the club in monthly meetings and in accordance with your bylaws. Please designate your DCC representative by entering 'Yes' in this column on the same row as their name. ONLY choose one person and leave all other cells blank.
How do I answer the question 'Is this member an officer of the club'?
If your club has officers (e.g. President, Treasurer, etc.), please enter their title(s) in this column on the same row as their name. If a member is not an officer, please leave this column blank.
