Coach Selection Criteria
The selection of volunteer coaches will be based on the following criteria:
Experience and Knowledge:
*Previous coaching experience (preferred, but not required for entry-level coaching roles).
*A strong understanding of netball, including the rules, strategies, and player development.
*Relevant coaching accreditation or willingness to obtain accreditation
Commitment and Reliability:
*A strong commitment to the goals and values of the club, including a passion for fostering a positive and inclusive environment for players.
*Availability to attend training sessions and games
Communication and Leadership Skills:
*The ability to communicate effectively with players, parents, and club officials.
*Demonstrated leadership abilities and the ability to motivate, support, and develop players of all skill levels.
Child Safety and Welfare:
*Coaches must demonstrate a commitment to the safety and well-being of all players.
*A valid Blue Card is required for all coaches.
Personal Attributes:
*A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and the ability to create a fun and engaging environment for all players.
*The ability to manage team dynamics, resolve conflicts, and act as a positive role model.
Inductions
*Coaches must be willing to complete the RBNC Volunteer Online Induction and the Safeguarding children and Young People in Sport Online Induction
