Welcome to the Black Joy Parade application! The parade is on Sunday, February 22, 2026.

This application is for groups that want to participate in the parade procession. It helps the Parade Team understand your group’s planned involvement in the parade. Each application is reviewed before being approved. If your group is accepted, the Parade Team will send an official invitation by email. This is not a vendor, stage performer, or volunteer application. For information about vending, stage performances, or volunteering, please visit the website: www.BlackJoyParade.org

To support parade day operations and bring spotlight to parade marchers, a fee is required to participate in the parade.

The parade fee is due upon acceptance into the parade. Payment information will be requested at the end of this form, and your formal invitation to participate in the parade will only be sent after payment is complete.

Best In Flow:

The Best in Flow competition is more than a parade award. It is a celebration of creativity, craft, and community impact. It recognizes the people and groups who pour their time, talent, and resources into creating unforgettable parade contingents that bring joy to the streets, e.g., visual design, artistic expression, choreography, custom builds, and creative direction. Winners receive official recognition and a cash prize of $6k to reinvest in their creative work. This is not just an award, it is funding to help sustain creative impact beyond parade day and back into the community.
