2026 - Ann Brownson Award Nominations

The Ann Brownson Award is presented annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional service to both the Virginia museum community and the Virginia Association of Museums (VAM). Established in 1999, the award honors the legacy of Ann Brownson, whose spirited leadership and steadfast commitment shaped VAM during her tenure on the Council from 1991–1999. Brownson also served on numerous museum and cultural organization boards across the Commonwealth, leaving a lasting impact on Virginia’s cultural landscape.

Nominations are open until February 20.
The award recipient will be announced and recognized at the Annual Conference. The nominator of the selected recipient will be notified in advance of the conference
