The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County (CAA) invites current CAA member artists to submit up to three original works for consideration in the next Foster Gallery Outreach Special Exhibit at Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) located in Grand Boulevard.
This Black and White Photography themed exhibition will be on display in the ECTC lobby from September 10, 2026 through February 8, 2027 in conjuction with thier Season 14 Productions. Come From Away, The 39 Steps, Million Dollar Quartet Christmas and Dolly Partons 9 to 5, the musical.
ARTISTIC INTERPRETATIONS
Artists are encouraged to submit original Black and White Photography works inspired by natural landscapes, architecture, portraiture, street scenes, and abstract forms. Artwork must be appropriate to the general public and family-friendly. No nudes will be considered for this exhibit.
All submitted work must be original and thematically aligned with the Black and White Photography Theme. Artwork can be newly created or previously completed, and may utilize a variety of mediums. All pieces will need to be ready to hang. Works must be properly mounted with D-Rings and wired. NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS.
TIMELINE
Call to Artists: August 7, 2026 – August 30, 2026
Artist Notification: August 31, 2026
Art delivery to ECTC: September 2, 3, or 4 | 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Show opens: September 10, 2026
Artist Reception at ECTC: TBD
Show ends: February 8, 2027
Mandatory Art pick-up: February 9 or February 10 | 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
CRITERIA
Submissions must meet the following criteria to be considered for the exhibit:
1. This call is open to CAA members only. If you are not yet a member, click HERE to join.
2. All exhibited work must be original. No print reproductions accepted.
3. Artwork must be appropriate to the general public and family-friendly. No nudes will be considered for this exhibit.
4. Photography Dimensions (Width x Height) may not exceed 48" x 48" including frames.
5. Works must be properly mounted with D-Rings and wired. NO SAWTOOTH HANGERS.
6. Artist agrees to a 60% Artist / 40% CAA split.
7. If your artwork sells, you are encouraged to bring a replacement.
ARTWORK COLLECTION POLICY & DISCLAIMER
Please note the following terms regarding the collection of artwork:
Artwork Collection: All submitted artwork must be collected on the specified date.
Disclaimer of Responsibility: The Cultural Arts Alliance (CAA) and Emerald Coast Theatre Company (ECTC) shall not be held responsible for any artwork not retrieved by the aforementioned collection date.
Artwork Abandonment: Artwork remaining uncollected for a period exceeding thirty (30) days beyond the designated pick-up date will be deemed abandoned. Abandoned artwork will be considered a donation to the Cultural Arts Alliance and used for fundraising opportunities.
