Media Policy
RCS uses student/camper photos for internal communications, publications, and events that are shared with the school community. These include, but are not limited to: photos and videos of class/school performances and events, school picture sales, yearbook, class photos and photo galleries, grandparent outreach, and school and classroom newsletters. We also use student photos and articles showcasing student activities and achievements on our school website, social media platforms, and for print and digital marketing materials to promote our school to prospective families. Occasionally, a newspaper or television station wishes to do a story and take a few pictures of our students involving one of our field trips or an activity at school.
By enrolling your child in RCS Summer Camps, you are offering consent for use of your child's image unless you submit a media restriction form, which can be requested from the main office. Families wishing to limit use of their child's image may request a partial media restriction in which student images will not be used for local media, social media, or marketing materials, or they may request a complete media restriction in which their child's image may not be used for any purpose outside of their classroom.
Families requesting a complete media restriction must meet with the Executive Director in addition to submitting a media restriction form. Media restriction forms will be honored starting on the date they are received. Please note that student images may continue to appear on materials that were designed prior to the school’s receipt of a media restriction form, but their image will not be used on any new materials.
