International Fellow Application Form

Applications are accepted from January 1, 2026, to April 1, 2026.

Thank you for your interest in the International Fellowship program. Before you begin the application process, you will need to gather the following files on your computer:

Your current curriculum vitae (resume, biographical data).
One letter of recommendation from the director of your institution verifying your plans to develop a training program in respiratory care and/or establish respiratory care as a separate health profession.
Two letters of recommendation specifically addressing your professional expertise and qualifications in support of your application. Recommendations as available from the president, academician, ICRC member, or past international fellow who can attest to their capabilities and express their willingness to collaborate and support the international fellow's proposed project.

IMPORTANT NOTE: A well-thought-out and impactful proposal is essential to demonstrate the significance of your project and its potential outcomes. Clear objectives, a feasible plan, and measurable results will help reviewers fully appreciate the value and contribution of your work.

The text documents can be in any Microsoft Word-compatible format (.doc, .docs, .rtf, .txt) or Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF). The digital photo can be in the JPG, JPEG, PNG, or GIF format.

This would include procedures such as airway care, aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, mechanical ventilation, diagnostic testing, etc.*

12. Vaccination Requirements for International Fellows - All international fellows accepted into the program are required to provide documentation of the following vaccinations prior to their program start date: Hepatitis B, Influenza, Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR), Varicella (Chickenpox), Tetanus, Diphtheria, Pertussis (Tdap) COVID-19. In addition, some regions may recommend or require Tuberculosis (TB) screening or proof of BCG vaccination, depending on local disease prevalence. Please note that host institutions or city health regulations may require additional vaccinations, and fellows are expected to comply with these requirements as well. By applying to the program, applicants agree to provide all required documentation upon acceptance. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of participation in the program.
