EVENT DESCRIPTION
This event provides an opportunity for post-graduates (PhD granted 2021-present) and dissertators to meet with senior colleagues and obtain advice. Each accepted participant will be assigned to two group mentoring sessions. During each mentoring session, the mentors will provide feedback on questions or topics that have been pre-identified by the participants in their applications.

ELIGIBILITY
To be eligible for Group Mentoring, you must be:
Post-Doctoral - (PhD granted 2021-present)
Dissertator (actively working on your dissertation)
APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS
To participate in Group Mentoring, you must complete the online application by October 23, 2026. Your application will be reviewed by the UAA Executive Office, and you will receive a review decision by October 26, 2026 via email. Sample bio:
Jane Smith is a Postdoctoral Scholar in Homelessness Research at the University of Somewhere. She completed her Ph.D. in the School of Urban Studies and Planning at the University of Elsewhere in June 2024. As an interdisciplinary scholar with expertise in urban studies, conflict resolution, and collaborative governance, her research focuses not only on planning and housing policy as outcomes but also on the contexts and power structures that influence policy design and implementation. In particular, she is currently involved in various projects related to eviction and homelessness. And, she is also interested in disability justice in urban planning and racial justice in communicative planning. Prior to pursuing her doctorate, she worked as a researcher at the ABC Research Institute in Somewhereville, focusing on housing and housing welfare. She received her undergraduate and master's degrees in Urban Planning and Engineering from XYZ University in Elsewhereville.
