Football Tasmania are targetting for interested coaches to lodge an expression of interest form to attend a  Football Australia Foundation of Goalkeeping.

The course will be conducted in the off season, 

The Foundation of Goalkeeping course is designed as the first accreditation step for coaches, parents or volunteers who work with, or plan to work with goalkeepers of any standard across the country.

The training is designed with the player in mind and is based on how goalkeeper sessions should be delivered: safely and effectively and with a sense of fun. After completing the course, the student will be able to: Identify the training needs of goalkeepers, identify ways to make training inclusive for all participants, implement basic goalkeeper coaching principles, and create engaging goalkeeper sessions.

To register for the Foundation of Goalkeeping, a coach must be minimum fourteen (14) years of age.

The Foundation of Goalkeeping course is 8 hours in duration. 

Online modules available on Football Australia Learning Centre are to be completed prior to the commencement of the in-person course.

Football Australia will require a minimum of 12 - maximum 18 to conduct the course, 

Please note Course cost is $100 and payment is made direct to Football Australia through the FA Learning Centre when registering - * not required at this stage * 

* venue will be based around candidates - ground availability- presenter availability ( flying in from Sydney )
