LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES
The exact responsibilities of each role and the combined leadership team will vary by SIG, but in general, a SIG’s leadership team is responsible for:
• Promoting SIG Engagement and communicating with the SIG membership
• Overseeing SIG activities and projects according to the SIGs mission and vision statements.
• Working with the ISOQOL office and project volunteers to gain leadership approval or navigate submission processes for public-facing SIG projects (publications, symposia, etc.).
• Reviewing and updating the SIG’s mission and vision statements as needed.
• Recruiting future SIG leadership and project volunteers.
• Maintaining continuity and institutional knowledge through leadership transitions.
• Developing the agenda for the in-person SIG meeting at the ISOQOL Annual Conference and ensuring that a SIG leader or other volunteer is present to lead the meeting.
LEADERSHIP RECRUITMENT AND ELECTION CYCLE
The official SIG leadership application and nomination period closes on 8 June 2026.
Once the nomination period ends, SIG elections will open and members will have the opportunity to vote.
Leadership Team terms are as follows:
Chair-Elect, Chair, Past-Chair: October 2026 - October 2029
Co-Chair: October 2026 - October 2028
Communications Chair: October 2026 - October 2029
