LICENSING INFORMATION:
RENEWAL BUSINESS LICENSE-- All regular license renewals are due January 1st and delinquent after January 31st of each year.- Submission of renewal application by January 31st ensures no initial late fees/penalties are incurred.- All licenses not paid within 30 days from the date they fall due shall be increased by 15% for the first 30 days. Delinquent license shall be charged an additional 15% for a delinquency of 60 or more days.
NEW LICENSE -- A business license is required prior to engaging in business in the City of Riverside.-In the case of persons who began business on or after the first day of the calendar year, the license for such “new business” shall be increased by 15% for the first 15 days they shall be delinquent, and shall be measured by an additional 15% for a delinquency of 45 days or more.

^ Gross Receipts (per Code of Alabama, 1975 - Title 40) are the total of all payments received by your business in any form (receipts, revenues, sales, contracts, etc.) that are generated from or within city limits for any part of any business you own or that you are reporting for. Gross Receipts is the total before any deduction for any costs, expenses or taxes paid.
OCCUPATIONS WITH REGULATORY BOARDS & AGENCIES:
CONSTRUCTION, RESTAURANTS, MEDICAL, FOOD & BEVERAGE, LANDSCAPING, MOTOR VEHICLE INDUSTIRES, ETC -
Certain business types are regulated by a State Licensing Board and must be licensed by, and in good standing with, the Board before a municipal business license may be issued (Section 11-51-193, Code of Alabama 1975). A list of Licensing Boards can be found at https://bit.ly/RegBoards.
