Scholarship Application Instructions

Thank you for your interest in our scholarship program. Please read all instructions carefully and submit all required materials by the deadline. Incomplete applications may not be reviewed.

Eligibility Requirements

Before applying, ensure you meet the following:

The applicant must be a graduating senior from any secondary education institution that is a member of the North Tarrant Chamber of Commerce.
The Completed application.

Personal Essay

Length - 500-600 words.
Typed
Topic - Describe your educational goals, career aspirations, and how this scholarship will help you achieve them. You may also discuss any personal experiences, challenges you have overcome, or community involvement that has shaped your path or tell us your life story. Please include a paragraph on the financial need of this scholarship.

Letters of Reccomendation

2 are required.

One from a school source for example a teacher or counselor or coach
One from someone in the community (e.g., a pastor, employer, or community leader)

Copy of college admissions test scores

This would be a copy of your SAT or ACT scores or both.

Application Process

Once the application has been submitted and all applicants have been reviewed, the scholarship selection committee will choose a number of finalists for interviews. You will be notified via email and phone to set up a 15-minute interview with the scholarship selection committee.

After the interview process, selected recipients will be notified via phone and email of their award. The Chamber will host an awards luncheon on June 18th where you will be presented with your scholarship (if you are able to attend), as well as recognition at your school’s awards ceremonies.
