  • AIES SRE Resources Policy

  • Policy Overview

    This document provides guidance and clear procedures for all Australian Islamic Education Services (AIES) Special Religious Education (SRE)Teachers regarding the selection, submission and use of supplemental teaching resources.
  • Submission and Approval Requirements

    Mandatory Submission: All AIES SRE Teachers must submit all additional resources (i.e., any resource not already part of the approved curriculum), especially multimedia content, for approval prior to use.


    Approval Authority: All additional resources will be approved solely at AIES' discretion. SRE Teachers will be notified of the approval status via email.


    Submission Procedure: SRE Teachers must submit a link or a copy of the document directly to their Regional Supervisor along with the completed SRE Resource Checklist.


    Turnaround Time: Resource approval requests can take up to 7 business days. SRE Teachers must plan and prepare their lessons adequately in advance to accommodate this timeline.


    Approval Criteria: When reviewing new resources, AIES considers the following factors: media rating, thematic content, contribution to learning outcomes and age appropriateness.


    Compliance: Approved resources must comply with the Copyright Act (1968) and the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act (1998).

    This checklist is mandatory for all supplemental resources (those not part of the standard curriculum). SRE Teachers must complete the checklist below and send the resource link/file to the SRE Program Manager for approval at: admin@islamiceducation.org.au

    I acknowledge and understand that I must not use any supplemental SRE resources—including multimedia, external documents or activities—until I have received explicit written approval from the AIES SRE Program Manager.
