    2026 Volunteer Roster Hours Booking Form

  • BHPC members are privileged to belong to one of the strongest and longest-running pony clubs in Brisbane, with access to quality grounds, facilities, coaches and equipment.

    To keep our club thriving, we rely on the support of volunteers throughout the year.

    Volunteer requirements and key details for 2026

    1. All member families (part time and full time) are required to sign up for two (2) x 3-hour canteen shifts during the Brookfield Show (22–24 May 2026). Details and roster sign-on will be provided prior to the Show.
    2. Families with full-time riders contribute an additional 16 volunteer hours across the year:
      • Four (4) x 2.5-hour shifts: Muster set-up and/or canteen shifts
      • Two (2) x 3-hour shifts: Canteen at special fundraising events (Anzac Day & Bush Christmas) and/or working bees
    3. Only families with riders competing at the BHPC Combined Training Day are required to assist with the running of the competition day on 2 August 2026. Details and roster sign-on will be provided prior to the competition.

    Exemptions

    BHPC Committee members and BHPC Coaches (including registered trainee coaches) are exempt from muster set-up and canteen requirements. Those without children at the club are also exempt from working bees, special fundraising events and Brookfield Show shifts.

    Important Notes

    • Shifts are allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Please book early to secure your preferred times, dates and volunteering activity.
    • If you need to change your commitment throughout the year, please swap shifts with another member or find your own replacement.
    • Volunteers must be 13 years or older to fulfil volunteer hours within the canteen, and 17 years or older to assist with the grill and chip fryer.

    • Levy Reminder: Members will forfeit their Show levy or part of their roster levy if volunteer hours are not completed by 13 December 2026.

    Key Dates & Shift Details

     * Muster Set-Up Times:

    ·         February to April: 4:00pm – 6:30pm

    ·         May to August: 3:00pm – 5:30pm

    ·         September to November: 4:00pm – 6:30pm

    ** Muster Canteen Times:

    Meet at the canteen 45 minutes prior to lunch for set-up and preparation, continue through the hour lunch break, and finish 45 minutes after lunch following clean up.
