  • Go Green Business: Landscaping Program Details

The goal of the Go Green Business - Landscaping Program is to provide vouchers to businesses and organizations to help offset the cost of new, zero-emission lawn and garden equipment while replacing older combustion equipment.

The existing gas- or diesel-powered equipment must be in operational condition and must have been owned and operated by the applicant for at least two years. Replacement equipment must be new, cordless, zero emission, and serve the same function as the existing equipment being replaced. Retroactive purchases are not allowed. Vouchers can only be redeemed with participating merchants.

    Eligible Applicants:

    • Businesses that provide landscape maintenance services for residential, commercial, institutional, and public properties.
    • Public agencies, businesses, and non-profits that conduct commercial-scale landscaping activities on their properties.
    • Public agencies, businesses, and non-profits that conduct forest management, land management, and fire hazard reduction activities.
    • Businesses, public agencies, schools, and nonprofits with equipment permanently domiciled and operated in Yolo County and the District's portion of Solano County are eligible applicants.

The District is also administering this program for the Placer County Air Pollution Control District. Public agencies, schools, nonprofits, and businesses with equipment permanently domiciled and operated in Placer County are eligible.

A valid business license is required for all business applicants.

    Process:

    1. Apply for one or more vouchers by completing and submitting this form.
If approved, the District will issue you vouchers for each piece of equipment to be replaced.
    2. Redeem your voucher with the participating merchant(s) of your choice, and they will apply a point-of-sale discount equal to the voucher amount to the purchase price of the new equipment. Bring your existing equipment with you when you go to redeem your voucher so that the merchant can verify that it is operational.
    3. Before receiving your new equipment from the participating merchant(s) of your choice, surrender your old combusion equipment to the participating merchant(s) to be scrapped.
