  • Student Trainer Summer Application Overview

  • We are currently hiring Student Trainers to join our Summer Training Camp for Academic, Athletic, and Career Excellence.

    This “Training Camp” takes place for 7 weeks in July - August for 25 hours/week ($15/hr).

    This would be 6 weeks for PIC students (July-August) and 5 weeks for 5Q students.

    Youth that successfully complete the summer program will have the opportunity to join our year-round program for advanced professional development training and academic support.

    Over the summer, you will participate in the following trainings:Intro to Personal Training, Entrepreneurship, Nutrition, Social-Emotional Learning, Daily Athletics, includes daily training in Martial Arts (Kickboxing, BJJ, and MMA).

  • Role and Responsibilities

  • Student Trainer (first year students)

    4-5 duties and responsibilities for this position

    • Business Curriculum: Develop, Market, and Sell a physical product based on health and fitness
    • Martial Arts: Learn and demonstrate Basics of kickboxing, mittholding, brazilian jiu-jitsu
    • Martial Arts: Teach beginners the basics of martial arts
    • Fitness Curriculum: Learn about personal training careers and demonstrate related skills
    • Fitness Curriculum: Develop and lead a fitness class, implementing best practices and structured workouts.

    4-5 qualifications and special demands for this position

    • Interest in fitness and martial arts and ability to perform athletic movements
    • Interest in entrepreneurship and willingness to present in front of crowds
    • Willingness to learn new skills and present
    • Leadership skills, Strong communication skills
    • Must be a high school student in Boston and between the ages of 14-18
