Add even more flexibility to your ROOTS experience with our optional Extended Day Program, available for students enrolled in the 4-Day Program.
Monday–Thursday
🌞 Before Care: 8:30–10:00 AM — $80/week
🌿 After Care: 3:00–4:30 PM — $80/week
🌲 Full Extended Day (Before & After Care): $160/week
Extended Day is a relaxed extension of the ROOTS experience where children can enjoy supervised outdoor play, nature exploration, reading, games, art, and quiet time in a familiar environment. No additional academic instruction is provided during Extended Day.

Tuition Changes
**Please note: There will be a 15% sibling discount for school programs; this credit will be applied when we invoice you your tuition remaining balance in Jan.
For families who prefer to pay by cash or check in larger lump sums, we're happy to continue offering tuition discounts as a thank you for helping us simplify administrative costs and payment processing.
Two discount options available:
- Pay Half the Year in Full (Cash/Check): Receive a 5% tuition discount, saving a few hundred dollars depending on your family's enrollment.
Pay the Full Year in Full (Cash/Check): Receive a 10% tuition discount, which can add up to thousands of dollars in savings depending on how many children you have enrolled.
Please note that any tuition you've already paid (including September, if applicable) will simply be deducted from your remaining balance before calculating your final amount.

**If you notice a slight increase in tuition this year, it reflects our continued commitment to offering the highest-quality experience for your children. As ROOTS grows, we are moving more teachers into full-time roles, and the shift into full-time staffing itself comes with additional expenses that support consistency, reliability, and the level of care our programs require. We are also expanding the enrichment that makes our school so special—guest speakers, field trips, community events, and hands-on learning that goes far beyond a traditional model. Continuing to offer these opportunities consistently and sustainably requires additional staff and resources, and this small adjustment helps ensure we can maintain (and elevate) the ROOTS experience for all families.
Tuition Auto-Charge:
Tuition payments will begin October 1, 2026 and will be auto-charged monthly. Tuition is calculated based on the daily rate selected at the time of sign-up.
Missed Payments and Cancellations:
Any missed payments or unpaid balances are non-refundable, and the reserved spot will be offered to the waitlist.
Cancellation Policy
At ROOTS Farm & Forest School, our programs are designed with the intention of fostering community and continuity for the entire year. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may arise, and have developed the following cancellation policies to ensure clarity and the sustainability of our program:
1. For 1 or 2-Day Programs
Commitment Expectation: Enrollment in our 1 or 2-day programs is intended for the full academic year to provide students with a consistent learning environment.
Cancellation Notice: If cancellation becomes necessary, a 60-day written notice is required. Tuition will continue to be auto-charged through the end of the 60-day notice period.
Why This Is Necessary: This policy allows us to plan for staffing, supplies, and group dynamics while minimizing disruption to the program and students.
2. For 4-Day Programs
Commitment Expectation: Due to the full-time nature of our 4-day programs, we require a significant level of commitment from families for the entire school year.
Cancellation Notice: A 60-day written notice is required. Monthly tuition auto-charges will continue until the student’s spot is filled by another family.
Why This Is Necessary: The full-time program operates on tight enrollment limits, and each spot directly supports the resources, staffing, and educational quality of the program. This policy ensures we can maintain the integrity of the program for remaining students.
Transition Assistance: We will make every effort to fill the vacated spot promptly to minimize the financial impact on families.
3. Extenuating Circumstances
We understand that life can bring unexpected challenges. In cases of extreme hardship, such as death, relocation, or significant medical issues, exceptions to this policy may be considered. Families should submit a written request explaining the situation, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
4. Please note all programs are paid for each week, even if there is a school break during that time.
5. Prepaid Tuition Discount Policy
Families who choose the full-year (10%) or half-year (5%) prepaid tuition discount are receiving reduced tuition in exchange for a financial commitment to that enrollment period. As a result, all prepaid tuition made under these discounted payment options is non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of withdrawal, dismissal, or changes in attendance, except where required by applicable law. ROOTS reserves the right to make exceptions in extraordinary circumstances at its sole discretion.
