Agreement
The AIA National Photography Competition is open to any and all architects actively registered in the United States. The contest is also open to Associate members of the AIA, student members of AIAS in good standing and students currently enrolled at an NAAD accredited schools of Architect. Professional Affiliate or Allied members are not eligible. Entries submitted by ineligible individuals will not be processed; images will not be returned and no refund of the entry fee will be made.

The subject matter of the photographs that are submitted must have an architectural theme or must contain some element of the designed and built environment. Photographic interpretation of the subject matter is the issue, not the architecture.

Entries must have been exposed by, and be owned by, the entrant. Images previously awarded with a cash winning honor in previous AIA National Photography Competition(s) is/are not eligible for entry.

Entrants grant permission to the AIA St. Louis to reproduce images for competition announcements, competition exhibitions, and for promotional purposes including website and social media. All reproductions will become the property of AIA St. Louis. Should AIA St. Louis use the photographs for an additional purpose, we will secure written permission from the entrant.

The decision of the judges is final on all matters relating to the competition. Void where prohibited by law. Payment of registration fee constitutes agreement with the rules and regulations of the 2026 AIA National Photography Competition.
