2025 Estelle Thorpe Adult Nursing Scholarship Application

Requirements:

 

• 25 years of age or older
  African American Male or Female
  
  
• Copy of CNA certificate or LPN License
• Active LPN accepted or currently enrolled into RN Program (copy of acceptance letter required with application)
• Active CNA accepted  or currently enrolled into an accredited LPN Program (copy of acceptance letter required with application)
• Proof of income per household less than $55,000 annually
• One letter of reference (Professional or Academic)
• A biographical sketch detailing your accomplishments, hobbies/ interests, future plans, community service and obstacles, etc.
• 300 word essay, typed and double spaced, on the subject: A Challenge That Shaped My Calling to Nursing; Tell us about a challenge you faced in your journey to pursue nursing — personal, academic, financial, or otherwise. What did you learn about yourself through that challenge, and how will that learning influence the way you care for your future patients?
