Scholarship Information:
We are proud to offer scholarships ranging from $500 to $1,000 to support students in achieving their educational goals. Additional funds are available for students pursuing careers in the military or as first responders.

Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to students upon confirmation of their enrollment. Awards are based on financial need, student potential, participation in extracurricular activities, and evaluation of personal statement submissions.

Available Scholarships:

• Aspiring Scholar of Yorba Linda: $500–$1,000 scholarships awarded to multiple eligible applicants.
• Art Brice Memorial Scholarship: $500–$1,000 awarded to an eligible applicant interested in a career as a first responder.
• Mike Andersen Memorial Scholarship: $500–$1,000 awarded to an eligible applicant pursuing a military career.

Application Requirements:

• Complete the General Information section (10 minutes).
• Upload supplemental materials: Resume, Transcript, and a Headshot (10 minutes).
• Respond to 2 short essay prompts (400 words or less each).

* As mentioned above, applicants for this scholarship must have an affiliation with the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce or one of its members. Affiliation is defined as being a current employee of a Chamber member or having completed 20 or more hours of volunteer work for a Chamber member. You can view the full list of Chamber members here. 

For example, volunteering 20 or more hours for Crosspointe Church (a chamber of commerce member) meets the eligibility requirements. 

Supplemental Materials: 

• Please provide a pdf file of your formal CV/Resume. This should include any extracurriculars, academic experience, or work experience that you feel is relevant.
• Please attatch a copy of your most recent high school transcript
• Please upload a recent photograph of yourself for promotional purposes (preferably head and shoulders). Please note, if you are selected as a recipient, this image may be used in promotional communications regarding the Scholarship Program.

Describe your plans as they relate to your educational & career long-term goals. How will you contribute to the workforce and community at large? How will this scholarship help you achieve those goals and contribute to your personal legacy?

Describe your involvement and affiliation with the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce, a Chamber member, or the community at large. How have you been actively engaged in community programs or activites through participation, employment, service, or other activities? What have you learned? What will you carry on to your future academics and career?

Military members and first responders are always the first to arrive and the last to leave. What inspired you to pursure a career in the military or as a first reponder? How will you use your training and responsibilites to serve others?

Certification and Release Authorization. I/We certify that this information is complete and accurate. I/We authorize the release of this information to confirm and/or verify this application. I/We further grant the right to use my name and likeness in connection with the promotion of the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship fund on, but not limited to, our website, email distribution, and social media platforms.

I certify that I meet the eligibility criteria for the Scholarship Program, and have attached the required materials. I understand that applications that are incomplete, late, or not submitted in accordance with directions will be ineligible for consideration. 

I hereby apply for the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Foundation Scholarship Program. I understand if I am selected to receive this Scholarship, the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce and the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Foundation have no legal liability or obligation to me other than the payment of the Scholarship Award. I further understand that if I choose not to enroll after payment of the Scholarship, I am responsible to notify my school, and notify the Yorba Linda Chamber of Commerce Foundation of my decision.
