    The Nu Psi Sigma Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. offers scholarships to deserving students who demonstrate academic excellence, community involvement, and leadership potential. These scholarships support students pursuing higher education and help them achieve their educational and professional goals.

    The NPS Academic Excellence and Leadership Scholarship is a non-renewable award to be applied toward expenses incurred to attend an accredited college or university. Three scholarship awards of up to $500 each will be disbursed to the recipient no later than June of the current academic year. Eligible applicants must be African American female seniors. Applications are evaluated based on academic records, extracurricular activities, community service, and personal essays.

    Selection Criteria

    • 2025 graduating high school senior in a Cobb, Paulding, or Douglas County school
    • Minimum high school cumulative grade point average of 3.00 on a 4.0 scale (unweighted)
    • African American Female Senior
    • Leadership and community engagement as evidenced through activities, interests, and affiliations within the school and the community
    • Acceptance to an accredited college, university, or technical school for the 2025-2026 academic year

    Application Process

    Complete the scholarship application and attach the following:

    • Official high school transcript including cumulative GPA (unweighted)
    • Copy of admission letter to an accredited college, university, or technical school
    • One letter of recommendation (including name, address, and phone number) from a teacher, counselor, or an adult (other than a relative or personal friend), who can provide additional details about your activities and character.

    *NOTE: Incomplete applications or those submitted after Monday, March 31, 2026, will not be considered.

    Submit the official transcript (Format: Last Name, First Name_Transcript) and letter of recommendation via email at nupsisigmascholarship@gmail.com.

    Scholarship awardees will receive notification no later than May 31, 2026.
