Grant requests can be between $100 and a maximum of $1000.

Chapter Support Grant submission is January 1 to March 1 each year. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Projects on Private Lands will NOT be considered.

Your Application MUST align with one or more of the mission statements.
- To perpetuate the commonsense use and enjoyment of horses in America’s back country and wilderness.
- To work to ensure that public lands remain open to recreational stock use.
- To assist the various government and private agencies in their maintenance and management of said resource.
- To educate, encourage and solicit active participation in the wise use of the back country resource by horsemen and the general public commensurate with our heritage.
Reports on project, along with pictures, can be submitted anytime, but must be submitted no later than December 1. If no report is received, chapter will NOT be eligible for future grants.

If you are awarded a grant and the grant is unable to be completed during the year it is awarded, please contact the committee chairman through Michelle Wade at michellewade@bcha.org as soon as possible to discuss your options.

Describe how your grant request aligns with one or more of the mission statements.
Describe the purpose of the grant, how the grant will be used, the need it addresses, and timeline for completion. Be as specific as possible.
Public Land Management Agency where grant will be used, i.e., Forest Service, BLM, State, County, City.
List organizations, agencies, or groups that will collaborate on or support this project. You may also attach letters of support from these partners.
List any additional funding sources contributing to this project and the dollar amount from each, if applicable.
Summarize the planned use of the grant funds and include an itemized budget of expected project expenses.
