  • Early Career Researcher definition

    This form is for Early Career Researchers whose current career stage aligns with one of these categories:

    • PhD Students within 12 months of completion who are exploring a future career in the ORE sector.
    • Post Doctoral Researcher Assistants (PDRAs)
    • Early career Academic Staff within the first three years of their academic appointment.

    If your circumstances don’t quite match, please email us. Eligibility can be considered on a case-by-case basis.

    Purpose of this Form

     This form allows you to register for the:

    • Early Career Forum
    • Annual Assembly
    • Poster presentations at the Forum
    • Process to express interest in presenting at the Assembly.

    Event Schedule

    Tuesday 21 April
    Early Career Forum: 09.30 - 17.30 
    Optional evening networking reception: 18.30 - 20.00

    Wednesday 22 April
    Annual Assembly: 09.00 - 17.00

    Forum registration closes Monday 13 April, 17.00

  • Introductions and Poster Presentations

  • To showcase the breadth of research underway, Early Career Researchers are asked to

    • Present a poster
    • Introduce their work through a speed introduction and accompanying presentation slide at the Forum.

    Posters will be displayed at the Forum and Annual Assembly, with poster prizes awarded.

    Submission timeline

    At registration (by Monday 13 April)

    • Provide an abstract below. To be reviewed by the Supergen ORE Hub Co-Directors.
    • Registration closes Monday 13 April, 17.00.

    By Thursday 16 April

    • Submit a digital version of your poster to be published with online Assembly materials.
    • Submit a one-slide summary to support your speed introduction at the Forum. 

    At the Forum - Tuesday 21 April

    • Bring a printed A1 poster for display at the Forum and Assembly.

    Expression of interest process
  • As part of the Assembly's schedule showcasing innovative research, a small number of researchers will be asked to present their work at the Annual Assembly.

  • To express your interest in presenting at the Annual Assembly you need to:

    - Provide a 300-word abstract (abstract completed above)

    This must be received by Friday 20 March, 17.00.

  • Equality, diversity and inclusion survey

  • We are collecting EDI information to help the Supergen ORE Hub better understand equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) issues across the sector and within our activities. 

    Participation is voluntary and not part of the registration process. The information will be used solely for monitoring purposes by the Supergen ORE Hub and will not be shared with any organisations outside the Supergen ORE Hub and our funding body, EPSRC.

  • Thank you for registering. To complete the process, note the final items required for participation in the Forum activities:

     By Thursday 16 April
