Program Information
The ODU MLS Summer Immersion Program will be held from July 13th - July 17th 2026. Students are expected to participate in program-related activities from 9 am and 5 pm during these dates. The goal of this program is to expose interested students ages 16 and up to the field of Medical Laboratory Science, with a special focus on blood bank and core laboratory departments. During the program, participants will take part in safety training and perform laboratory testing within the four major areas of the clinical laboratory: clinical chemistry, transfusion medicine, clinical hematology, and clinical microbiology.
