There will be a short break between the Young Division and Miss Division as we prepare to transition from our court competition and crowning to our Miss St. Patrick's competition and crowning.
Competition: This pageant is being held in the spirit of its amazing tradition, thanks to our Dublin Pilot Club - a legacy that truly cannot be matched. This pageant will bring together two worlds - a classic pageant and scholarship pageant, crowning a well-rounded, well-spoken, presentable young lady who exhibits community mindedness while striving for excellence in everything she does. This pageant will strive to recognize and celebrate a young lady who is confident, carries herself with dignity and kindness, gives of herself to her community, strives to do her best in the classroom and in her hobbies, and is willing to interact with those around her to make Dublin-Laurens County a better place.
Our Young Divisions will be crowned as Miss St. Patricks' esteemed court and will have the chance to make an appearance in the St. Patrick's Day Parade, while our Miss St. Patrick's (16-21) will be crowned the regining Queen, attending all official St. Patrick's Festival events as the face and honored representative of the festival.
For our Miss Division (16-21): PLEASE READ
Being crowned Miss St. Patrick's comes with the honor of becoming the face of the St. Patrick's Festival. Please do not register if you are unable to attend numerous St. Patrick's events throughout the month of March. Appearances are mandatory. We understand that pre-existing events are likely. If you are interested in competing but have several conflicting events in March, please complete the portion of this form below to let us know dates that you are unavailable. We try to remain flexible, but must set the expectation that our Queen is at all official events as our representative. If you have any concerns or questions, please feel free to contact lizgreen409@gmail.com or text 478-484-1074. We are happy to speak with you!
Please keep in mind that rehearsals will be held the week prior and are mandatory as contestants will be taught a short and fun routine they will perform as a group at the top of the pageant.
Young Divisions (2-15) Will Have:
-Pageant Dress Walk on Stage with an Optional Fun Fashion (Fun Fashion is an additional $20)
-Optional Miss Sassy Shamrock - This is a People's Choice Award, which is determined by votes from the community. Each vote is $1.00. Proceeds go towards funding the pageant and funding future scholarships.
-Optional Fun Fashion will likely be competed in a group setting, depending on time constraints. Those who choose to participate will walk out together in a line and have the opportunity to show their fun fashion outfit and personality one at a time. If time allows, we may consider changing to a solo walk.
-Fun Fashion is the chance to show the judges a fun, spunky, personalized outfit. This outfit should be in the theme of all things St. Patrick's, which is characterized by the color kelly green, shamrocks (3 leaf clover, NOT 4 leaf clover), all things Irish, etc. We want to see you show your personality in a fun style. This is NOT mandatory. You may choose to only participate in the classic walk. Choosing to not participate in Fun Fashion will NOT affect the contestant's overall score. This is an optional add on that is a separate category.
Miss Division (16-21) Will Have:
-Opening Number, which opens the competition with a group performed routine, which is choreographed and rehearsed before the compeition. This allows each girl to showcase their ability to learn quickly, work in a group setting, and allows them to showcase their personality.
-Business Casual Wear, which is accompanied with a shortened walk on stage as contestants introduce themselves to the judges and the audience
-Casual Wear, which is accompanied with a full walk as our Emcee shares info on our contestants
-Pageant/Evening Gown, which is accompanied with a full walk as our Emcee shares information on our contestants' volunteerism, community outreach, and civic opportunities they have taken advantage of
-On Stage Question - Only finalists will compete in this category. Contestants will be given a list of questions the morning of the pageant and will pull a question on stage and answer in real time. This allows each contestant to showcase their communication skills, the ability to interact and speak on different topics, and their abilities in regards to public speaking.
-Optional People's Choice Award, which allows friends, family members, and community members to vote for their contestant of choice. This is determined by voting. Each vote is $1.00. Proceeds go towards funding the pageant and funding future scholarships.
DAY OF REQUIREMENTS:
