The Yellowstone Valley Kennel Club (YVKC) is not a training club. The Club's purpose is to support the local community when possible in responsible dog ownership and breeding. In order to do this, the club is supported by the shows and trials held annually.
Members of the YVKC are required to volunteer in at least two (2) trial/show events annually, based on a calendar year (January through December). Participation is needed to continue holding these events. Effective January 1, 2019, new members joining the club, who have not satisfied the two (2) event requirement, will only have use of YVKC lease of facilities for practice on designated dates. The designated date will be the first practice date of each month rented. Seminars or workshops sponsored by the club may be free (based on the Club's decision) to members who meet the two (2) event qualifiers. If the two (2) event qualifier is not met, a fee to attend will be determined by the club. All members in good standing will be required to work events as listed below each year to use practice facilities for all dates and attend seminars and workshops designated as free for members by YVKC.
