• CONTRACT SEWING INSTRUCTOR & CONTRACT SEWIST APPLICATION

  • We're building a real fashion ecosystem from fiber to runway. As part of the Dayton Garment & Textile District™, Farm to Fashion™, and our expanding workforce development initiatives, we're seeking skilled sewing instructors who are ready to teach, produce, mentor, and help strengthen the infrastructure supporting fashion in Southwest Ohio.

This opportunity is for professionals who understand that sewing is more than a craft. It is a workforce skill, a pathway to entrepreneurship, and a critical part of rebuilding domestic apparel and textile production.

Selected instructors will teach from The House of (DE-FI)ance: A Fashion & Design Co-working Experience ™ in Dayton, Ohio. Instructors establish their own rates and may be considered for classes, workshops, workforce training programs, designer support services, and Farm to Fashion™ programming.

All applicants must successfully complete both a written and practical sewing assessment.

The runway follows readiness. The work starts here.
