    Greetings Union Siblings,

    Urgent!!!! Overflow Hotel Information

I hope all is well with everyone. I wanted to reach out to everyone that hasn’t booked their rooms yet, and inform you that the DoubleTree by Hilton room block is now closed. However, we have secured rooms at the Hyatt Place which will accommodate our overflow capacity. All of the new lodging information is included within this letter. The Hyatt Place is located directly across the street from the hosting DoubleTree Hotel.
This year is an incredibly significant milestone, as we will be celebrating our 15th Annual Black Labor Week Anniversary with a week filled with excitement, special guests, and surprises. Being able to celebrate 15 years of organized actions that gives to the need of marginalized communities and builds power amongst every delegate that attends has created a Movement that recognizes Black Labor Week as a beacon of change.
I want to start out by saying that we at Black Labor Week Project Inc. really appreciate each one of you. You all have really created an undeniable existence to our success. We are excited to announce and invite you to our annual conference of Labor and Community that will be held during Black History Month, titled “Black Labor Week”. Black Labor Week will be taking place, February 23rd-27th, 2026 in Atlanta, GA. This event is opened to ALL Labor Unions as well as ALL of their standing committees and members. It is also open to any organization that aligns with and believes in our Mission. This yearly event celebrates the accomplishments of our past and present Civil, Women and Workers Rights activists, on the national and local level. Additionally, Black Labor Week also raises community awareness of current Labor, Racial, Economic and Social Justice issues, while creating an impact in underserved communities.
Black Labor Week was created to develop an understanding as to why many people are unaware of the parallels between Black History and the Labor Movement. Constructing the platform of Black Labor History Education, Community Service and Empowerment lead us directly to the purpose of this event, which is to build power, confidence, structure, and opportunities in underserved communities, where there is so much disparity, poverty, and limited resources. We wanted to give back in as many ways possible. We felt that this would be our dedication through the Labor Movement during Black History Month.

Once again, this event is open to all committees as well as any organization in the community. We will start promptly on Monday February 23rd at 8:00am and will end Friday February 27th at the conclusion of our “Celebration of Civil Rights” Awards Gala that starts at 5:00pm. This year will be a year full of surprises. We’re asking everyone to make your travel plans to Atlanta, GA and make your hotel reservations soon. We are expecting our hotel block to fill up fast. This year will come with a registration fee of $150/delegate. Please make your checks payable to “Black Labor Week Project Inc.”. Mail all checks to 7015 Carolina Ct., Hammond, IN 46323.

Thank you for your continuous support and understanding. If you have any questions or concerns, feel free to contact us at unapologetic@blwproject.org.
