Trial Location (obedience and protection): WHWDC Club Field: 13322 Johnson Rd., Phelan, CA 92371 (property entrance is on Luna). Tracking will be plowed dirt in the Lucerne Valley area.

Titles Offered: BH-Vt, IGP and USP 1-3, FPr 1-3 (tracking), UPr 1-3 (obedience) GPr 1-3 (ob & protection), STP 1-3 (directed search).

Tentative Schedule: Meet at the designated location at 7:00 AM for tracking. Tracking will be plowed dirt in the Lucerne Valley area about an hour’s drive East from the club field. After the completion of tracking: BH obedience and traffic then Obedience followed by Protection will be held at the club field approximately 11 AM.

Practice: Competitor practice will be available prior to the trial date. However, the trial helper may not be available on all practice days. Competitors will receive notification of details closer to trial date.

WHWDC reserves the right to make schedule changes based on entries, weather and tracking availability.

Entries: Open January 1, 2026 at 9 AM, PST and must be received online or by mail, complete with required documents, waiver and payment no later than 11 PM, PST March 10, 2026. Entries will not be accepted by email. Early and incomplete entries will be declined.

Entries with tracking will be limited due to tracking availability.

Non-USCA Members add $30.00 recording fee per title entered.

Lunch: We will offer coffee, cold drinks and snacks. Dontations are appreciated. Lunch may be available.

Unentered Dogs - As this is private property please do not bring un-entered dogs onto to the tracking or trial site. All entered dogs are required to be up to date on vaccinations with proof of rabies vaccination upon entry and have a signed liability waiver included with the entry.

Smoking: There is no smoking allowed anywhere on the tracking property. The club field has a designated smoking area and ash can.

• Membership Cards - A copy of your membership card is required for entry. Bring your membership card to the trial. Judges may now ask to see actual membership cards not a copy.
• Vaccinations – Proof of current rabies vaccination is required for entry.
• No Refunds – No refunds will be issued for absent or withdrawn entries.
• Scorebooks - Only 1 scorebook per dog. No scorebook bonds will be issued for non-USCA members.
• Please park in designated areas and pick up after your dogs. Do not allow dogs to urinate on buildings, fencing, decks or vegetation around the buildings and house.
• Dogs must be on leash on the trial site and surrounding property unless on the trial field performing the off-leash exercises.
• Weather in the High Desert can rapidly turn from nice to hot, windy, rain and/or snow so please be prepared. Bring shade for your vehicle/dog(s) in case of warm/hot weather.
• Lodging - Local lodging is 20 minutes away. Try Holiday Inn Express, Hesperia or La Quinta, Victorville.

WAIVER AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT

It is understood that every dog at this event will at all times be in the care and control of the dog’s handler. It is further understood that the undersigned agrees to be fully responsible for the action of his/her dogs while on the trial grounds, surrounding areas and tracking fields. I the undersigned as owner or agent agree to hold the United Schutzhund Clubs of America, Western Horizons Working Dog Club (WHWDC), it’s employees, officers, directors, members, guests, judges and property owners and other agents HARMLESS for loss or injury which may have allegedly been caused directly or indirectly to any person or things by any action of my dog(s) or to my dog(s) while on the tracking fields, show/trial premises, and surrounding area. I hereby assume all responsibility and liability for such claims.

I further agree to indemnify and hold harmless the United Schutzhund Clubs of America, WHWDC, it’s employees, officers, directors, members, guests and property owners and other agents free of any and all claims or clams by myself, my family members or any other person accompanying me while on the grounds used for WHWDC activities or the surrounding areas thereto as a result of any action by any dog, person or activity including those of myself, my family members or guests.

The club has my permission to take and use photographs, videotapes and other recordings of the club activities involving myself, my family or my dog(s) for any lawful purpose without compensation.

I will abide by club and event rules.

WHWDC will not be responsible to loss or damage of property including vehicles and content, equipment, cameras and valuables in the case of loss, damage, vandalism or theft that may occur at any club activity.

In case of emergency, the club may in its sole discretion authorize medical treatment for my family, my dog(s) or myself.
