  • The Art Ministry aims to involve members of our local community in affordable, accessible and inclusive creative activities to provide opportunities for increasing social interaction, boosting self confidence and improving self esteem, to help maintain or improve their mental health and wellbeing.

Our weekly creative sessions are open to all, but focus on people most likely to benefit, such as children and adults with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, visual impairments and/or mental health issues. Most of these sessions are delivered in our base in Hadleigh, Essex.

We have a wide range of volunteering opportunities at The Art Ministry.

We provide a fun and rewarding environment, with training and support, and the payment of reasonable expenses. No matter what your skills are, we are sure that we can make use of them.

  • If you are under 18 you should let a parent/guardian know that you are applying.

  • You can see our Policy on the Recruitment of Ex-offenders here. Having a criminal record will not necessarily exclude you from volunteering with The Art Ministry.

  • Referees

We require details of two people who know you well and who have agreed to give you a reference. They cannot be relatives or your partner.
  • Most of our roles involve supporting children or vulnerable adults, and so we will need to carry out an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check with your consent and at our expense.

We will store your information in a safe and secure way. Please see our Privacy Policy for more details.
