    Behavioral standards expected of participants

    As part of the Bus Trip, participants must show respect and generosity to other participants (of any age), tennis officials and instructors, public officials, players, service staff and any supervising personnel.

    Supervising personal have been appointed to exercise responsibility for a participant’s care and supervision on behalf of Tennis Australia, Tennis QLD and the relevant Member Association for the duration of the trip. As such, participants must follow all of the supervising personnel’s instructions.

    Participant commitment

    During the Trip, participants must:

    Comply with all Tennis Australia national policies, including the rules of tennis, the Member Protection Policy, the Code of Behaviour, the Disciplinary Policy and the Social Media Policy;
    Contribute to creating a positive team environment;
    Respect and be aware of the needs of others;
    Be safe in the use of equipment and facilities;
    Be on time and ready for all activities;
    Be prepared with adequate clothing/equipment, food and drink for activities;
    ONLY use mobile phones at the appropriate times;
    Ask for help – listen and be heard;
    Not smoke or comsume alcohol;
    Act at all times in such a way that reflects your role within your family, school or community;
    Show good sportsmanship and leadership at all times.

    Travel and Local Transport

    Particpants must only travel on tour when accompanied by supervising personnel. Participants must exercise caution when using local transport, always wear a seatbelt and adhere to relevant safety guidelines.

    Participants must comply with any dress code instructions provided by supervising personnel.

    Medical Matters

    While on tour, participants must notify supervising personnel immediately if they are suffering from any injury or sickness and must follow the supervising personnel’s instructions in relation to treatment.

    Participants who fall short of these behavioural expectations will be the responsibility of the supervising personnel. Depending on the seriousness of the behaviour, supervising personal may impose a reprimand or punishment or referring the matter to TA’s Integrity Unit for further action.
