Applicants who are eligible:
- Must be an African American single parent who is not a member of this organization. (Single parent verification must be provided upon selection.)
- Must be a United States citizen and a resident of Anne Arundel County.
- Must be a single head of household.
- Must plan to attend a community college, vocational school, or a four-year college or university.
- Must be either a graduating high school senior (Class of 2026), high school graduate or have a GED (General Educational Development) Diploma.
- Must have at least a 2.75 grade point average and must provide an official document (transcript).
- Must provide a biography, which will include your future goals, major, financial need, and the college/university/vocational school you wish to attend.
- Must be 18 – 40 years of age.
- Must be enrolled or plan to enroll with a minimum of nine credits.
NOTE: The award is contingent upon acceptance and registration at an accredited community college, vocational school, or four-year college or university.
