Honeywell Optimizer Unitary / VAV Installation and Commissioning
HTTP-108 - TRN-IRM-1-ASD, virtual class not offered in 2026

Course Description: This Honeywell ASD class provides the student with the technical expertise to configure, install, and commission the optimizer unitary family of controllers. Class topics include controller specifications, IP (100baseT and 10baseT1L) and MSTP BACnet architecture, Device Commissioning, Into to Engineering Toolkit, Application Configuration, , Application Syncronization, Point configuration, Point Calibration, Terminal Assignment, Controller Time Sync, Sylk Device Operation, Bluetooth Operation, Vav Balancing, Station Memory Management and Basic bus tuning.

Audience: This couse is appropriate for both Contractors and Facility Maintenace personel. See HTTP-208b/IRM-2 for programming certification training.

Prerequisite: HTTP-101 or N4 Certification

Additional Requirements: Honeywell ASD. Student-supplied laptop with admin access and N4.14 installed. Demo boards are provided.

Honeywell Optimizer Unitary/VAV Technical Certification
HTTP-108 - TRN-IRM-2-ASD or TRN-V-IRM-2-ASD (virtual)

Course Description: This Honeywell ASD Certification course provides students with technical expertise necessary to effectively and efficiently design, engineer and program Optimizer Unitary and VAV projects. Class topics include Database creation, Device Mangement, IO configuration, Online and Offline engineering, Deterministic Applications, Event Based Applications, Reusable Applications, Control Loop Logic, Cloning Applications, Application synchronization, Application management, Master Sync Tool, BACnet objects, object linking, proxy points, Fail detect, time schedules, Sylk devices, and Spyder Migration

Prerequisite: HTTP-101 or N4 Certification. HTTP-103 or successful completion of prework Workbook and Exam.

Additional Requirements: Honeywell ASD. Student-supplied laptop with admin access and N4.14 installed. Demo boards are provided.

Honeywell Optimizer Advanced Controller Factory Certification
HTTP-261 TRN-ADV-ASD or TRN-V-ADV-ASD (virtual)

Course Description: This Honeywell Advanced Controller ASD class topics include Specifications and Overview, TCP/IP Networking Fundamentals, Network Architecture including Routing, Switching, and Bridging, and Network Fault Tolerance using the Rapid Spanning Tree Protocol, Network Security including SSL, TLS, and Certificates. Other topics include, Control Logic, Physical Points, Expansion IO, HOA Switches, HMI Configuration, Network Data Sharing, Provisioning.

Prerequisite: HTTP-101 or N4 Certification.
Hardware: Advanced Controller
Additional Requirements: Honeywell ASD. Student-supplied laptop with admin access and N4.14 installed. Demo boards are provided.

TRN-IRM-3-ASD, virtual class not offered in 2026

Course Description: This Honeywell ASD class introduces the student to advanced Optimizer Unitary and VAV topics. Class Topics include Creating and Deploying Station Templates, Device Templates, Component Templates, and Application Templates. Utilizing and Deploying Multiple BACnet UDP Ports. IRM Application Annotation and Configuration Settings. PID Loop Tuning and AIA Control. System Terminal Load calculation and reset logic. BACnet Schedules, Calendars, Optimal Start Configuration and Auto Time Sync. Spliting and branching applications.

Audience: This course is appropriate for personnel who completed Optimizer Unitary/VAV Certification in the past and want to learn advanced topics.

Prerequisite: HTTP-208b - Optimizer Unitary/VAV

Additional Requirements: Honeywell ASD. Student-supplied laptop with admin access and N4.14 installed. Demo boards are provided.
