Artist Membership Application
MAA Social Members in good standing are invited to apply for Artist Membership. Please fill out this form and drop off FIVE pieces of your work with your $25 jury fee to the MAA no later than April 7th 5:00PM. All 2D work must be framed appropriately and wired to hang on a wall. Please note, we take the quality of your framing and wiring into consideration when making our decision. Work with broken frames or glass or work that is not wired well cannot be accepted. Any works that are not thoroughly dry will be refused.

What category of artist membership are you applying for? (An artist may submit applications in more than one category. Each category of membership requires a separate application, fee and requires 5 pieces of artwork).

Fine Art - includes painting, drawing, mixed media, printmaking
Photography - technical and creative retouching, cyanotype
Craft - includes home goods, toys, items that have a purpose rather than bring purely decorative
Sculpture - metal, wood, fiber, mixed media, found objects, glass
Culinary Art - NEW CATEGORY
Wearable Art - includes jewelry, clothing, accessories
Digital Art and Animation - includes AI, video, multi media
Notes for photography and digital applicants.
Images must originate as photographs/digital art made by the entrant. They may not incorporate identifiable images produced by anyone else (for example: clip art, replacement skies, or stock images). Technical Retouching: Photographic retouching or manipulation which is done either in a darkroom or with image-editing software. (adjusting contrast, saturation, sharpness, etc.) Creative Retouching: (often called “Photo-shopping”). Addition of multiple (original) images into the finished work. Color manipulation and transfer to B&W are permitted. Use of stock images or works of others is not permitted.
