    To refamiliarize yourself with the purpose of these chapter designations please reference an overview of either the Ten Star (Gold) or IDEA Champion designation.
     
    You must complete the full application. Each section will specify (*) which questions are relavent to which designation for your knowledge. If you reply 'no' to a question that is required for a designation your chapter is not pursuing you will not be asked for more information.

  • Part 1. Baseline Goals for Ten Star AND Ten Star Gold

  • The chapter met the December 15, 2024 deadline for the 2025 Chapter Leadership Form and completed the balance of the Accord process by January 15, 2025. The individual(s) leading the completion of the Accord process reviewed it with the full board during a live meeting.*
  • The chapter participated in the 2025 Chapter IMPACT Campaign for the AFP Foundation for Philanthropy. This is a contribution from the chapter budget. (Check chapter status below)*

  • The Chapter Board discussed and created a written plan for the 2025 chapter priorities. Those priorities were captured as a set of annual goals or strategic plan.*

  • IDEA Integration - For 2025 the chapter established who on the chapter board would take responsibility for moving the chapter’s IDEA priorities forward. The chapter board shared these priorities as well as an explanation of IDEA with chapter members during a live meeting. The chapter board has also provided a safe space for chapter members to ask questions or share concerns about the goals. (*Also required for IDEA Champion)*
  • Elevate Member Experience priority - At least two members of your chapter board attended one of the quarterly IDEA Chair Network Zoom sessions and one other virtual or in-person session offered by AFP Global specifically for chapter leaders.*
  • Revolutionize Education and Professional Development priority - Offered relevant fundraising education to chapter membership at least quarterly.*
  • Enhance Global Reach and Impact priority - The chapter held an organized, live, virtual or in-person event, webinar or activity in 2025 that focused on the importance of ethics and ethical fundraising.*
  • Part 2: IDEA Integration Across Strategic Priorities

The resolution is to be reviewed every year, shared with chapter members, and the definition of IDEA is used in chapter materials.*

  • All nomination forms must be submitted to AFP Global on or before February 2, 2026. Receipt of the application will be acknowledged to the submitter via e-mail.  If you do not receive a confirmation of receipt, please contact AFP Global to verify your materials arrived by the deadline. Please do not send any materials related to this application by seperate email.  Any disputes to the designations awarded must be received at AFP Global by March 10, 2026.
