  • Thank you for your interest in supporting Lehigh Valley Pride by signing-up to volunteer. Our Pride festival serves thousands of community members every year and you are integral to its success. We are so grateful to you for offering your time and talents toward our event. 


    Lehigh Valley Pride will take place on August 30, 2026 from 1:00pm-7:00pm at ArtsQuest Center at SteelStacks at 101 Founders Way, Bethlehem, PA 18015. 

     
    Please read the role descriptions carefully and choose what works best for your interests and abilities. Each volunteer shift will be 4 hours long and starts as early as 9:30am.

  • Clearances are required to work in the Youth Space of the festival. If you are willing and able to work in the Youth space, please upload your clearances. However, we cannot guarantee that will be your assigned role. Please note: clearances are not needed to work other spaces at Pride.

  • We ask our volunteers to attend a required, virtual training for Lehigh Valley Pride. You may attend one of two different sessions. The training will go over volunteer assignments, the Pride map, and other important details about the event. The Zoom links for the training sessions will be on the Thank You page of this application and in your confirmation email. 

    Session 1 will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 12:00pm-1:00pm. 

    Session 2 will take place on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, from 6:00-7:00pm.

  • Please indicate if you will be volunteering with a group of people or a friend below. We will do our best to place group volunteers to the same tasks, but cannot guarantee it.

    Example 1: I am a member of the "The Big Gay Band Cohort" and would like to volunteer with my coworkers if possible.

    Example 2: I am signing up to volunteer with Jane Doe. Can we please be placed at the same task with one another?

  • Volunteer Shift Descriptions - You may be assigned to any of the responsibilities within the shift you sign-up for. 

    Shift 1: 9:30am-1:30pm

    • Assisting with vendor check-in and navigation
      • Escort vendors to their table location
      • Field vendor questions
      • Direct vendor traffic
    • Assisting with festival set-up
      • Set-up pop-up tents
      • Set-up tables
      • Place and hang signage

     

    Shift 2: 1:30pm-5:30pm (Shift 2 has two hour shift options as well. First Half is 1:30pm-3:30pm. Second Half is 3:30pm-5:30pm)

    • Marketplace & Food Truck Monitors
      • Check-in with vendors about once an hour to see if they need anything or have any concerns. Report those concerns back to a BSC staff member
    • Wellness Way, Sober Space, & Sponsor Avenue Monitors
      • Check-in with vendors about once an hour to see if they need anything or have any concerns. Report those concerns back to a BSC staff member
    • Youth Space, Baby Space, ArtsQuest 1st Floor, and Queertivities Stage Monitors
      • Check-in with vendors about once an hour to see if they need anything or have any concerns. Report those concerns back to a BSC staff member
    • Festival Entrance Welcome
      • Encourage to festival attendees to donate if they are able
      • Direct them to Pride Central for any questions
      • Hand out festival maps

     

    Shift 3: 5:30pm-9:30pm

    • Marketplace & Food Truck Monitors
      • Check-in with vendors about once an hour to see if they need anything or have any concerns
      • Report those concerns back to a BSC staff member
    • Wellness Way, Sober Space, & Sponsor Avenue Monitors
      • Check-in with vendors about once an hour to see if they need anything or have any concerns
      • Report those concerns back to a BSC staff member
    • Youth Space, Baby Space, ArtsQuest 1st Floor, and Queertivities Stage Monitors
      • Check-in with vendors about once an hour to see if they need anything or have any concerns
      • Report those concerns back to a BSC staff member
    • Festival Entrance Welcomer
      • Encourage to festival attendees to donate if they are able
      • Direct them to Pride Central for any questions
      • Hand out festival maps
    • Festival Breakdown
      • Promptly at 7:00pm, direct attendees off the festival grounds
      • Collapse BSC owned tents, tables, and signage
      • Load BSC items into the box truck
      • Navigate vendor breakdown traffic
