• Petrie Foundation Pitbull Voucher Inquiry

    Petrie Foundation Pitbull Voucher Inquiry

Thanks to a generous grant from the Petrie Foundation, we have funding to spay/neuter pitbull and pitbull mixes. For just a $50 copay, your dog will be spayed/neutered, receive oral pain medication, and a e collar. This program is only open to owned pit bull type dogs, not those who are currently in a rescue or shelter. It is also only for new appointment requests. If your dog already has an appointment with us, please do not complete this form.

  • Before completing this form, please understand the following:

    • ONLY pit-bull type dogs are eligible for this program. This includes American Pit Bull Terriers, Pit Bull mixes, American Staffordshire Terriers, Staffordshire Bull Terriers, American Bulldogs and American Bullies. • This grant does not cover a rabies vaccine. If your pet does not have a current rabies vaccine, you will be charged an additional $15 for your pet to recieve it at the time of surgery
    • Limit of 2 pets per household, each dogs needs his/her own form to be submitted
    • Filling out this form DOES NOT guarantee that your dog will be selected. We will contact both those who were selected and those who were not selected, so please check your email.  You will not receive a phone call, so it is important to check your email and text messages. If you are selected, you will receive instructions on how to pay the $50 copay. This must be paid within 72 hours of receiving it to secure your pet's appointment. If you are not selected, you will be on the waitlist in case any slots become available. • Thank you for requesting a Wellness Blood and Fecal Panel. You will be scheduled for a wellness visit prior to the day you are scheduled for surgery to allow us to submit the bloodwork and have results back before surgery. Please watch your email in the next 3-5 days for two emails, one with the date of your wellness visit and one with the date of your surgery. If either date does not work please contact us at info@spayneutervet.org to reschedule.

  • We currently have a grant from PetCo Love that covers the cost of the distemper/Parvo vaccine for dogs (DHPP) and cats (FVRCP) who are privately owned.  While the grant is in effect, if you select the DHPP or FVRCP above there will be no charge for the vaccine.

We do not have a set expiration date for the grant, so while it is likely that the grant will still be going on, it is possible that the grant will no longer be in effect depending on how far out the surgical appointment is scheduled. In that case we would send a payment request for the vaccine and you could chose if you want to receive it or not.

If you would like to take advantage of the grant, select those services above and fill out the Survey below.  For the Group adminstering the vaccine, select Spay Neuter Initiative Program, our non-profit who graciously secured this grant for our patients.

  • Spay & Neuter Angel Day Policy:

Spay & Neuter Angel Day is a one day event taking place on April 7, 2025 at Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills on Bragg Blvd. Free spay/neuter surgeries cannot be redeemed on any other day. Stand Up for Pits Foundation is providing us with funds to spay/neuter 20 pit bull-type dogs. To ensure that all funding is used on April 7th, we will contact via email those with appointments  before the appointment with a Jotform link asking you to confirm your appointment. If you do not confirm your appointment within 72 hours, we will cancel your appointment and move to someone on the waitlist.

Because this is a one-day event, appointments cannot be rescheduled. If you still want your pet altered, you would need to make a new appointment on our website, spayneutervet.org, and pay the normal surgery price. If you no-show on the day of the appointment or cancel with less than a 7 days notice, you will not be eligeble for any future free or reduced surgeries through SNVC for any pet (ie SNIP, future Angel Days, Namaste Clinics, Fix the Future events, etc).

This event is directed towards pit-bull type dogs only. Stand Up for Pits and Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills reserved the right to decline any dog for surgery if we feel that they do not meet the requirements of being a pit-bull type dog. If you need financial assistance to get a cat or non-pit bull dog altered, please visit snipnc.org. Also be sure to keep an eye on our social media pages and website for annoucements about future free surgery dates.

  • Part of this grant program specifications include extensive photography and video requirements of the owners and the pets in the program. Please expect to be asked several questions on video and to be photographed at intake and discharge. Because of this, intake and discharge are often longer than normal.

In addition, if we are not able to find a volunteer photographer for the day of surgery, or if the person who signs up as the photographer does not show up for the day of surgery, we are forced to cancel the grant surgery day. In that case you will have the option of paying for surgery that day or taking your pet home.  To ensure that NEVER happens we are seeking several volunteers to commit to taking photographs and videos on the day of surgery.

    • I understand that if the Clinic has any questions regarding your pet or there is reason for concern or increased risk with surgery noticed prior or during surgery, the clinic will attempt to reach the owner at the numbers left at check in. IF THE OWNER IS NOT REACHABLE BY 10AM DAY OF SURGERY I UNDERSTAND THAT SURGERY MAY NOT BE DONE ON MY ANIMAL and you may need to reschedule your appointment
    • I hereby release the Spay Neuter Veterinary Clinic of the Sandhills, all veterinarians, assistants, volunteers, directors, and employees from any and all claims arising out of or connected with the performance of this procedure or any adverse reactions from vaccinations. I agree that I have not and will not claim any right of compensation from any of the above, or file action by reason of such sterilization or attempted sterilization of such animal or any consequences related thereto. Owner/agent hereby agrees to hold SNVC unaccountable for any damages caused during the transportation of the animal, or for any damages caused by any unforeseeable events including fire, vandalism, burglary, extreme weather, natural disasters or acts of God.
