Kids' Corps Childcare classroom is designed to support staff currently working in the Anchorage School District (ASD) who need childcare to be able to work. Preference will be given to applicants who need full-time/full-week care for their child. Priority will be given to children of paraprofessionals, cafeteria workers and janitorial staff. Applicants will be required to provide proof that they are currently employed by ASD. Please use your ASD email address to complete this application.

Enrollment Procedures

For Kids’ Corps to verify your child’s eligibility for enrollment in the Kids' Corps ASD childcare classroom, proof of current employment with ASD is required to go on the waitlist and will be required again when an opening becomes available for your child.

Kids' Corps will maintain a waitlist for the childcare classroom.

Applications will be ranked on the waiting list with priority given to siblings of currently enrolled children and applicants of staff positions identified as a priority by ASD.

When an opening becomes available it will be filled based on the priority ranking system.

Once selected and prior to enrollment you will be required to complete a registration packets and submit a current physical and immunization record for your child. This must be done within 2 weeks of selection or you placement will be forfeited.

Tuition for the current month must be paid prior to the child attending.

Waitlist updates will be emailed to families quarterly in January, April, July and October.

Additional Information

The Childcare classroom is currently scheduled to begin classes on Friday, August 14th. The Childcare Coordinator will begin reaching out to families selected for enrollment in late June or Early July. All families who have applied by June 30th will recieve notification of selection or waitlist by July 10th, 2026.
