Submission Guidelines:
We are open to fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, theatrical scripts, and visual art in all mediums. Acceptable Works (Mostly Fiction, Any Subgenre, Original Works) include:

Literary

• Flash Fiction (up to 1500 words)
• Short Stories (up to 5000 words)
• Poetry

Theatrical

• Monologues
• Scenes
• One Acts

Visual

• Comic Strips
• Photo Essays
• Digital Art

Unacceptable Works:

• Fanfiction
• Previously published works with non-exclusive rights
• Simultaneous submissions
• Works that need a lot of editing
• 100% AI-Generated Works (e.g. fully created/generated by AI systems)
  
  • "Generated" here means a prompt or script is input into an AI system, content is generated, and then is submitted as is. If you’ve used AI, you must disclose the platform used and the extent. 

Additional Guidelines

• 1 submission per author will be accepted; we will review up to two poems for consideration only.
• Submissions should be previously unpublished and entirely original.
• Simultaneous submissions are not accepted.
• Writers and artists who have not yet published a major work are highly encouraged to submit.
• Submissions must be formatted accordingly: Times New Roman, 12 pt. font, double-spaced, numbered pages, full name and email at the top of the submission. Only PDF submissions will be accepted.

You may opt out of featuring your work in our journal at the time of acceptance in our journal.

‼️Payment & Compensation: Please note that Luminaura Magazine does not offer payment for submissions. By submitting, you acknowledge that you will not receive any monetary compensation or royalties, now or in the future, from sales or distribution of the magazine or your published work.

‼️Use of AI-Generated Works: At Luminaura Magazine, we value and appreciate creative process and skill. We understand and accept AI as a tool, not a replacement for creative expression.
