The Lucas County Treasurer’s Office offers a Foreclosure Request Program for individuals, neighbors, developers, and community organizations interested in helping return tax-delinquent properties to productive use. This form is the first step for requesting that a parcel be reviewed for possible tax foreclosure.
The program is designed to support responsible investment, strengthen neighborhoods, and ensure that properties do not sit vacant or neglected. Submitting a request allows the Treasurer’s Office to review the parcel, verify eligibility, and determine whether foreclosure is appropriate.
Please note:
- Submitting a request does not guarantee that a foreclosure will occur or that the property will become available for purchase.
- All requests are reviewed carefully, and approval is based on what best serves the community and the County.
- If a foreclosure is approved and completed, the property will be offered for sale through the public Sheriff’s Sale, where anyone may bid.
A deposit is required as part of the program. The form below gathers the basic information we need to begin our review. Once submitted, you will receive a confirmation email with next steps.
We appreciate your interest in helping strengthen Lucas County neighborhoods and returning properties to productive, tax-generating use.
