Lexington Arts and Crafts Society is dedicated to sparking joy, enriching lives, and building community through the practice, teaching, and sharing of art and craft. Located in Lexington Center, LexArt currently has roughly 200 member artists in 9 studios, representing a variety of art forms. LexArt holds a series of exhibits in its newly renovated Molly Harding Nye Gallery year-round, providing an opportunity for members and other local artists to exhibit and sell their work. LexArt also offers ongoing classes and workshop, both online and in-studio, open to artists and aspiring artists including teens.
Each year, since 1960, the Lexington Arts and Crafts Society offers to aspiring artists several scholarships to further their education at accredited art schools and colleges. Most of this funding is awarded to high school seniors, who are selected from candidates recommended by their school Visual Arts Departments. This year, the scholarship is open to high school seniors from Arlington, Lexington, Concord-Carlisle, Bedford, Burlington, Minuteman, Waltham, and Winchester High Schools
