Welcome to the Mountain City Qualifying Round for Tennessee Songwriters Week 2026!

Write it. Sing it. Bring your song to the mountains.

Doe Valley Farm and the Johnson County Tourism Office are thrilled to host one of the official statewide qualifying events for this annual celebration of Tennessee’s music and storytelling tradition. Our qualifying round will take place on Saturday, January 31, 2026, from 1:00–4:00 PM, with performer check-in at 12:00 PM.

Contestants must be 18 years of age or older to participate.

We will accept up to 16 pre-registered performers, first-come, first-served. Each songwriter will perform one original song, as required by Tennessee Songwriters Week. Our judges will select three performers to advance to the official Tennessee Songwriters Week Showcases, held February 22–28, 2026.
