Kambo ceremonies aren’t appropriate for everyone. Certain health conditions may present a contraindication to participating.
We ask you to complete a health questionnaire so we can ensure the ceremony is suitable for you and help us identify energetic patterns for the Classical Chinese Medicine aspect of the session.
Although there are many anecdotal accounts of physical, emotional, and spiritual shifts following a Kambô session—and scientific interest in the peptides found in the secretion—the Kambô sessions are not offered as medical treatment and should not replace any medical care you are receiving or considering. These sessions are provided as an introduction to an ancient Amazonian ritual practiced by indigenous peoples who regard the Kambô frog as a sacred being associated with well-being, vitality, and insight. Please note that participating involves receiving small burns on the skin, which may leave lasting marks; guidance will be given on how to minimise scarring, and you may choose where the points are placed.
Kambô is considered a supportive process that may help clear stagnant energies and strengthen one’s inner resources. If you have any concerns about how Kambô may relate to current medical treatments, please consult your GP or another healthcare professional. The main contraindications are listed in the first section of the questionnaire, which must be completed honestly so we can assess whether participation is appropriate.
It is also important to take responsibility for any insights that arise during or after the session. Kambô can be an intense experience and may bring up emotional or physical processes for several days. Please come prepared to take full responsibility for your feelings, reactions, and any discomfort that may surface. Kambô can act as a mirror, revealing both supportive and challenging aspects of the self.
